BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Pauly Paulicap scored 14 points and Rich Williams 10 as Manhattan held off a late run to defeat Fairfield 59-53 on Thursday night, ending a two-game losing streak.

The Jaspers (8-9, 3-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) have swept Fairfield in conference play for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and snapped a string of 11 straight losses at Fairfield's Webster Bank Arena.

Tyler Nelson and Ferron Flavors Jr. scored 14 points apiece — and each making four 3-pointers — for the Stags (6-10, 1-4), who have dropped their last four. Fairfield was trailing by 12 points with under three minutes to play when Nelson sparked a 7-0 run with a trey.

Williams got off a high, arcing 3 from left side that appeared to be the dagger, but Nelson answered with a 3-pointer. Williams was called for a double dribble but a Nelson 3-point attempt after the turnover didn't fall.
