OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Police in Ogden say a missing woman suffering from dementia has been found dead.

They say the body of 79-year-old Verna Marriott was discovered in the snow on 28th Street around 10 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Marriott needed a walker to get around and went missing Friday morning.

They say there's nothing suspicious about the death and no investigation is planned.

Police say Marriott apparently wandered from her home on 29th Street sometime after 2 a.m. Friday.

They say she may have been disoriented and wasn't dressed for cold weather.

Officers and volunteers unsuccessfully searched for Marriott on Friday night and into Saturday morning.
