STOCKHOLM, N.Y. (AP) — The Latest on a mobile home fire that killed a man and his three children (all times local):

7:25 p.m.

A woman who escaped from her New York mobile home as a fire killed her husband and three children has told a friend her children were her life.

Carrie Bugbee was taken to a hospital for evaluation after the Tuesday morning fire in Stockholm, a rural town near the Canadian border. Her friend Annette Peacock says she spoke with her at the hospital.

Peacock tells WWNY in Watertown that Bugbee looked at her and asked, "What am I going to do without my children?" Peacock says everything Bugbee had was "taken from her."

Troopers say when they arrived at the home around 3 a.m. they learned four people had been trapped inside and died.

The mother jumped out of a bedroom window.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
