LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a man is dead after a car crash in Logan that left seven other people injured including five children.

City police say the 25-year-old man died of his injuries from the accident that occurred only a block away from Logan Regional Hospital.

The two-car crash occurred at about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Logan police say a woman and three children in the man's car also were taken to a hospital for treatment with one child reported to be in serious condition.

An 18-year-old woman was driving the other vehicle and police say she and two children in her vehicle also were transported to hospitals.

Police didn't immediately release the names of any of the people involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.
