COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — One person has died after a freight train hit a car at a crossing in central South Carolina.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened about 8:30 a.m. Friday at a crossing northeast of Columbia.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The sheriff's department and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
