CHUBBUCK, Idaho (AP) — A Chubbuck family says their award-winning Christmas display has been vandalized.
The Idaho State Journal reports Scott and Suzette Kinney found their home yard display in ruins Tuesday morning.
They say their plastic trees were knocked over, their holiday mailbox was damaged, their snowmen were decapitated, their animated rocking horse was smashed and their reindeers were knocked over and banged up.
It's the second time someone has messed with their Christmas display this year.
The couple says this time the damage was so serious that they decided to call police.
Chubbuck Police Capt. Bill Guiberson sees theft and vandalisms of Christmas displays every year.
He says it's hard to find the people who are responsible for such crimes, but those who are prosecuted are typically juveniles.
