This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Computers have become an essential aspect of most businesses. Unfortunately it seems computer hackers get smarter every year, and are always discovering new ways to find your personal information. Jeff Nichols and James Harrison found this out the hard way.
After starting their own computer forensics company, Jeff and James were victims of a serious computer hack. They started searching for a comprehensive computer security system designed for small businesses and discovered the only real solutions available were corporate-grade products that cost thousands of dollars and required significant expense to maintain. The reason for this was because corporate-level security companies didn't want to provide the amount of technical support smaller companies would require.
Jeff and James formulated a business plan to partner with professional-grade security companies for the best technologies and to provide world-class technical support to their customers—all without the typical high costs. The plan was approved and INVISUS Direct was born. The business evolved into a security company for both small businesses and home users. As the company grew, Jeff and James soon discovered their customers wanted more technical assistance than just security and expanded to offer total PC care.
American Fork-based INVISUS Direct now offers solutions for most computer needs. Through secure lines, Jeff says INVISUS techs can remotely connect to a customer's computer and quickly fix virtually anything short of hardware issues. The company now has customers in all 50 states and 14 countries. Last year INVISUS also rolled out an identity theft protection program known as iDefend that has been well received.
James says two things differentiate INVISUS Direct: that all the technicians are based in their American Fork office—so they're readily accessible to help solve clients' issues, and second, that their techs are instructed to fix a problem, no matter how long it takes. Jeff and James hope to help protect millions of families and small businesses from becoming victims of cyber crime.
