HANOVER, N.H. (AP) — Jack Heneghan threw for two touchdowns on Saturday but it was a pair of missed extra points by the Big Green's opponent that gave Dartmouth a 27-26 edge over Holy Cross in overtime.

With Dartmouth (2-0) leading 20-14 late in the game, Holy Cross scored on a Peter Pujals touchdown pass with three seconds left to tie it. But the point after by kicker A.J. Wells was blocked, leaving it at 20-20 as time expired in regulation.

In overtime, Heneghan hit Stephen Johnston who powered it in for a 10-yard score to put Dartmouth on top 27-20. Holy Cross replied with a one-yard TD run by Diquan Walker but the 2-point conversion fell short, preserving the Big Green lead for the win.

Heneghan finished with 147 yards passing. Ryder Stone ran for 106 yards and a score and David Smith kicked two field goals.

Pujals threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns for the Crusaders (2-2).
