How many 100 degree days did we have this summer (2006)? Where can I find that type of information?

Thanks, Lynnette

**********************************************************

It sure did feel hot during August which is now wrapping up but amazingly, in SLC we have hit ZERO days at 100 in the month of August. We did however, have many a day above 90 and a few above 95 so we were sweating it out anyway.

The best way to find this information in a user friendly fashion is at Weather Underground, the link is on the right side of this page. When you get there, type in Salt Lake, and at the new forecast page scroll down and there will be a history and almanac section. Go the "August Calendar View" or if you are viewing this in a couple of days to the "September Calendar View" from there you can go back months and look at daily observations.

We have had 9 days at 100 degrees or great in SLC this summer. Our average is 5 days at 100 degrees or higher per summer. It breaks down to usually 1 in June, 3 in July and 1 in August.

You can also use the NWS climate page to look up past data as well or some neat records.
