The landscape of high school girls soccer changes drastically this season with a major realignment by the UHSAA and the introduction of an additional classification.
It means that later this October, five state championships will be handed out instead of four. Realignment shouldn’t have too much of an impact on the new Class 6A and 5A, but it will have a major impact on the state title contenders in the revamped Class 4A, 3A and 2A.
With the season getting underway on Tuesday, here’s a primer on what to expect for all five classifications with the Deseret News team-by-team preseason capsules:
