Wyoming announces Mountain West basketball schedule

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming 2017-18 Mountain West Conference men's basketball schedule features nine home contests and nine on the road.

The league schedule was released Tuesday.

Highlighting the Cowboys' conference home schedule will the annual Border War with Colorado State on Saturday, Jan. 13. Wyoming will also host defending conference champion Nevada on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The Pokes will play home and home games with every team in the Mountain West with the exception of UNLV and Air Force, which they will play once each.

Wyoming opens the conference slate at home against San Diego State on Dec. 27. It will mark the first contest in nearly 18 years Steve Fisher will not be the head coach of SDSU.

The Cowboys play three home conference games in January and five in February.
