PROVO, Utah (Aug. 24, 2006)--Senior linebacker Cameron Jensen was one of 65 players nationally and three Mountain West Conference athletes to be named to the 2006 Butkus Award Watch List.

Presented by the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando, Inc., the Butkus Award is given annually to the nation's best collegiate linebacker.

Jensen, who is entering his third season as a starter, has led BYU in tackles each of the past two years. Jensen tallied 84 tackles last season, including 44 unassisted take-downs and six tackles for a loss. Jensen was also second on the team with four pass break-ups and recorded one sack.

Jensen, who has also been named to the Bronko Nagurski watch list, entered Fall Camp as the only defensive player who had solidified a starting job.
