CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati's police chief says a dispute involving several men preceded the gunfire that erupted early today inside a crowded nightclub. BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) — A veteran Sprint car driver has been killed during a race in Florida. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says it happened last night when David Steele was driving a sprint car at Desoto Speedway. His vehicle's left front wheel struck the right rear wheel of another car, causing Steele's vehicle to go up in the air, spin 180 degrees and hit the retaining wall. Medics attempted to treat him but he was pronounced dead. Speedway officials say the 42-year-old was trying to win his 100th race in Florida.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The head of the Environmental Protection Agency says President Donald Trump will sign a new executive order Tuesday that unravels his predecessor's sweeping plan to curb global warming. EPA chief Scott Pruitt says the order will undo the Obama administration's Clean Power Plan, an environmental regulation that restricts greenhouse gas emissions at coal-fired power plants. Pruitt told ABC's "This Week" that Trump's intention is to bring back coal-mining jobs and reduce the cost of electricity.
WASHINGTON (AP) — White House chief of staff Reince Priebus (ryns PREE'-bus) is making clear that President Donald Trump will be seeking support from moderate Democrats for upcoming legislative battles. Priebus is also leaving open the possibility that the president could still revisit health care legislation after the failure of the Republican bill to replace Obamacare. On "Fox News Sunday," Priebus scolded conservative Republicans for withholding support for the House bill, saying Trump felt "disappointed" that a "number of people he thought were loyal to him that weren't."

It's an unexpectedly strong performance as Merkel prepares to seek a fourth term in a national vote later this year, and a disappointment for her center-left rivals.
