SALT LAKE CITY — Three highlights from around the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

1. Brazilian soccer fight gets fans on the field

This fight started out between the players from the two teams Gama and Brasiliense, but quickly fans got involved on the field too. There's a lot going on here:

> Today's mental S. American football news - Too hard to describe this ludicrous series of events in 140 characters so just watch it. [pic.twitter.com/HmGNwjFEzX](https://t.co/HmGNwjFEzX) > > — Ball Street (@BallStreet) [March 13, 2017](https://twitter.com/BallStreet/status/841257556932739072)

Of course, the match was suspended at this point, in the 40th minute with the teams tied at 1-1.

2. Rally driver's parking lot adventure

Driver Kris Meeke found himself driving through the shrubbery and into a dirt parking lot, which he then navigated through to return to the course.

You can see his horrified team, but good news: Meeke ended up winning the race despite this adventure!

3. Manny Ramirez's new Japanese contract

Yes, former baseball star Manny Ramirez is still playing, after signing a contract with Kochi Island Fighting Dogs in the independent Shikoku Island League in Japan in December. And thanks to the Boston Globe, we have the details of that contract:

The key passage:

1) Ramirez will have use of a Mercedes and driver; 2) Practices are optional for him; 3) He’ll get a hotel suite on the road; and 4) He will receive unlimited sushi for the entire season.

No practices and free sushi? And he gets paid? Seems like a steal of a deal to me.
