PROVO, Utah (AP) — Police are investigating a possible homicide at a home in Provo.

Sgt. Brian Taylor told The (Provo) Daily Herald (http://tinyurl.com/zuahcrt) a 24-year-old man was shot at about 11:20 p.m. Monday at the home near 400 West and 100 North.

He says the man's girlfriend took him to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Taylor says the girlfriend is not a suspect.

Police say shots were fired both inside and outside of the residence. Detectives were gathering evidence and canvassing the neighborhood for possible witnesses Tuesday morning.

No other details have been released.
