OGDEN, Utah (AP) — An ambulance report says Davis County jailers told emergency personnel that an ailing inmate later found to have died of a torn spleen had a possible seizure falling from a top bunk bed in her cell.
The Ogden Standard-Examiner reports (https://goo.gl/PPmM0N ) it obtained the Farmington City Fire Department ambulance report covering a 38-minute period that include evaluation, treatment and transport of Heather Ashton Miller.
The 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drug possession early on Dec. 20 and an ambulance took her the next night from jail to an Ogden hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Utah Attorney General's Office and the Weber County Sheriff's Office are investigating Miller's death.
