PITTSBURGH (AP) — Marquise Moore had 25 points and a career-high 19 rebounds and George Mason came back from a seven-point deficit with 36 seconds left in regulation before taking an 82-71 overtime victory over Fordham on Thursday night in the second round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
Moore, a 6-foot-2 guard, and Otis Livingston made 3-pointers 13 seconds apart to get George Mason (20-12) with three with 23 seconds left, and Moore added another bucket with 15 seconds left. Fordham's Chris Sengfelder made one free throw — the Rams missed 3 of 6 in the final minute — for a 65-63 lead before Moore went to the line. He missed both free throws, but the Patriots rebounded before a pass inside went off a Fordham player out of bounds. With 3.4 seconds left, Livingston took the inbounds pass, drove the lane and passed for his only assist to Jalen Jenkins for the tying basket.
Moore scored the first points in overtime and the seventh-seeded Patriots pulled away with Jaire Grayer scoring six points.
Livingston finished with 17 points and Grayer 15. George Mason plays No. 2 seed VCU in a Friday quarterfinal.
Javontae Hawkins scored 23 points and Joseph Chartouny 19 for the 10th-seeded Rams (13-19).
