The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't announced a decision. Romo will leave the Cowboys as the franchise leader in yards passing and touchdowns after losing the starting job to rookie Dak Prescott after breaking a bone in his back during a preseason game. Romo turns 37 next month.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) — Cavaliers center Andrew Bogut will miss the remainder of the season, including the playoffs, with a broken leg. Meanwhile, Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith has been cleared to resume practicing. He's been out since late December following surgery on a broken right thumb.

ATLANTA (AP) — A'ja Wilson of South Carolina repeats as player of the year, Alabama freshman Jordan Lewis takes the newcomer award and Missouri's Robin Pingeton claims the coaching honor on The Associated Press All-Southeastern women's basketball team. Wilson was a unanimous choice for the second year in a row after leading the No. 4 Gamecocks to their third straight SEC championship. Pingeton was named on every ballot for coach of the year after guiding the Tigers to a 21-10 mark that included an 11-5 finish in the SEC. Lewis, a 5-foot-7 point guard, was a standout on one of the SEC's weaker teams.
