WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has signed a revised travel ban that temporarily halts entry to the U.S. for people from six Muslim-majority nations who are seeking new visas. It also suspends the country's refugee program. That's according to White House spokesman Michael Short, who says the signing was done privately. The new directive aims to address legal issues with the original order, which caused confusion at airports, sparked protests around the country and was ultimately blocked by federal courts. The revised order is narrower and specifies that a 90-day ban on people from Sudan, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen does not apply to those who already have valid visas. The White House also dropped Iraq from the list of banned countries.

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Nigeria is warning citizens not to travel to the United States, saying several Nigerians with valid visas have been put on the next plane home. Nigeria is not on the list of six Muslim-majority African nations whose citizens President Donald Trump wants to bar from entering the United States. But an official says several Nigerians with valid multiple-entry visas have been refused entry to the United States. She says their visas were canceled when they landed and they were put on the next plane home.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A leading Republican lawmaker says he hasn't seen evidence to back President Donald Trump's claim that Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower last year during the campaign. Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, tells "CBS This Morning" that "I have not seen anything directly that would support what the president has said." But if the allegations are true, Chaffetz said, there would be a "paper trail" on such a wiretap because it would require a warrant. He said Trump has the power to declassify such a court order.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A former foreign policy adviser to President Donald Trump's campaign says he has been contacted by the Senate intelligence committee about its investigation into Russia's involvement in the 2016 election. In a response to the committee, Carter Page says he will "provide any information" that may be of assistance. He also says he will do what he can to make sure information about his activities related to Russia is preserved. The Senate panel has requested that the White House, as well as other organizations and individuals, retain information that could be related to the investigation. Page served as a foreign policy adviser to Trump's campaign, though Trump aides say he did not have a relationship with the president.

SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky has been moved from a maximum-security prison to a medium-security facility in western Pennsylvania. State prison officials say the 73-year-old was initially assigned to the maximum-security prison because he was considered to be vulnerable given the nature of his child-sex abuse conviction, and his high profile. But he was moved last week to a medium-security facility southeast of Pittsburgh. A Department of Corrections spokeswoman says it's not uncommon for inmates to be transferred, without offering an explanation. Sandusky is serving 30 to 60 years in prison for his 2012 conviction on charges he molested several boys he met through a charity he founded.
