RENO, Nev. (AP) — Cameron Oliver scored a career-high 29 points and hauled in 17 rebounds Saturday to lead Nevada to an 85-72 win over Colorado State that clinched the Mountain West season title and a No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament.

The two teams entered the game tied for first place.

Nevada (25-6, 14-4) took control in the second half with a 20-3 run that included 3-pointers from Jordan Caroline, D.J. Fenner and Marcus Marshall to lead 64-51 with 9:47 to play.

Colorado State (21-10, 13-5) twice cut the gap back to single digits before Caroline slammed in a dunk and got the free throw after being fouled to spark a 6-0 spurt that made it 72-58 with just under seven minutes to play. The Wolf Pack protected the double-figure margin the rest of the way.

Marshall and Caroline finished with 18 points apiece for Nevada, which got 20 points off nine forced turnovers. Caroline also grabbed 15 rebounds to get his 12th double-double of the season.

Gian Clavell's 33 points led three Colorado State players in double figures.
