WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says people who want to work for him should focus on the job they'll be doing for the American people, and not on future income earned by peddling their influence after serving in government. The president signed an executive order imposing a lifetime ban on administration officials lobbying for foreign governments, and a five-year ban for other lobbying.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is taking steps to begin restructuring the White House National Security Council. Aides say the changes will help the council better adapt to cyber, digital, terrorist and other modern-day threats. A third executive action signed on Saturday gives the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the president's top military advisers, 30 days to prepare a plan to defeat the Islamic State group.

CAIRO (AP) — President Donald Trump says his crackdown on refugees and citizens from seven majority-Muslim countries "is not a Muslim ban." He signed the executive order implementing the ban on Friday. Trump said on Saturday that it was "working out very nicely." But confusion, worry and outrage boiled over during the day as airlines blocked some people from traveling to the U.S., while others were detained at airports and legal challenges were mounted.

NEW YORK (AP) — Protesters are cheering a federal judge in New York for issuing an emergency order temporarily barring the U.S. from deporting people from seven predominantly Muslim nations subject to President Donald Trump's ban on refugees. The judge issued the order Saturday night after lawyers for the American Civil Liberties Union filed a court petition on behalf of people currently detained at airports across the country.

DETROIT (AP) — Volkswagen's luxury Audi brand is recalling more than 576,000 vehicles in the U.S. for two separate defects. Audi says 2013-2017 model year A5, A5 Cabriolet and Q5 SUVs with 2.0-liter turbocharged engines may have an electric coolant pump that can get blocked with debris. Audi also is recalling 2011-2017 Q5 SUVs. The sunroof drainage system can allow water to soak into the foam surrounding the side air bag inflators. That could lead to a rupture.
