WEST LIBERTY, Ohio (AP) — The Latest on the shooting at an Ohio school that injured two students (all times local):

2:25 p.m.

A 17-year-old Ohio boy suspected of injuring two people in a school shooting has been charged in juvenile court with attempted murder and felonious assault.

Champaign County Prosecutor Kevin Talebi (tuh-LEE'-bee) confirmed Tuesday that other charges filed against the teen include inducing panic, improperly discharging a weapon at or into a school safety zone and illegal conveyance or possession of a deadly weapon in a school safety zone. Talebi says his office also has filed a motion to transfer the case to adult court.

A message was left Tuesday for the teen's attorney, Michael Pentecost. Pentecost told the Springfield News-Sun he can't discuss his client's mental condition or possible motives.

Authorities say the teen fired a 12-gauge shotgun Friday at a high school in West Liberty.

The sister of the 17-year-old boy suspected in an Ohio school shooting that injured two says he made a mistake, but he's "not a monster."

She tells WHIO-TV that she doesn't know her brother's motives. She says she hasn't had contact with him since Friday, when authorities allege he fired a 12-gauge shotgun at a high school in West Liberty, 45 miles northwest of Columbus.

The teen's attorney, Michael Pentecost, told the Springfield News-Sun he can't discuss his client's mental condition or possible motives.

The Associated Press generally doesn't identify juveniles charged with crimes.

The teen remains in custody. The prosecutor says he'll seek to have the case moved from juvenile court to adult court.

The school is resuming classes Tuesday.
