Dandridge's late layup lifts Florida A&M over Coppin State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Derrick Dandridge made a layup with 0.4 seconds left and Florida A&M beat Coppin State 54-53 on Saturday night.

Marcus Barham scored 18 points and made five 3-pointers to lead Florida A&M (4-11, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which has won consecutive games since snapping a ten-game skid. Desmond Williams added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Dandridge added seven points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. The Rattlers outrebounded Coppin State 40-31.

Terry Harris Jr. and Josh Treadwell had 11 points each for the Eagles (2-15, 1-1), who shot 37 percent from the field and made just 7 of 20 from the free-throw line (35 percent).

Barham's 3-pointer stretched the Rattlers' lead to 52-48 with 2:03 to play. Coppin State regained the lead, 53-52 with 29.4 seconds left before Dandridge hit the game-winner.
