JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Remnants of a potato truck that crashed on Teton Pass are likely to remain in a gulch until spring. Crews have dug out some of the truck and load of potatoes that lost control on the icy road and went over the side on Dec. 22.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A central Idaho school district has come under scrutiny for recently deciding to hire a lobbyist, making it the only school district in the state to do so. However, the school is hardly a trailblazer. Multiple taxing districts across the state hire lobbyists using public funds to represent their interests while lawmakers meet in Boise during the legislative session.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say an escape attempt by a convicted killer at the medium security Idaho State Correctional Institution near Kuna in southwest Idaho has failed. The Idaho Department of Correction says John Delling on Wednesday climbed over two 6-foot management fences but did not get past two more 12-foot fences topped with razor wire.

GOODING, Idaho (AP) — A 62-year-old Gooding man has been accused of fatally shooting his son-in-law, who he says was abusive to his daughter. The Times-News reports that Jimmie O'Neal Sr. was arraigned Thursday on a felony count of second-degree murder.
