WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — West Valley City police say a 34-year-old man has died and two other men are injured after a Christmas Eve shooting in a store parking lot.
Police say the shooting was reported around 4 a.m. Saturday. Police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku released a statement identifying the man who died as 34-year-old Adam Hart from West Valley City.
One of the other men, whose identity was not released, was hospitalized in critical condition. The third man suffered a minor injury.
Vainuku says police believe Hart and the two others had been at a nearby party and met with another person or persons in the store parking lot, when a fight broke out.
Police Lt. Amy Maurer says police are still searching for a suspect and the gun used. Police say the incident may be gang-related.
