MOSCOW (AP) — A Russian passenger plane with 92 people aboard crashed into the Black Sea on its way to Syria minutes after takeoff from the resort city of Sochi. The Tupolev 154 was taking the well-known Alexandrov military choir to a concert at the Russian air base in Syria.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump says he will dissolve his charitable foundation before taking office to avoid conflicts of interest. The Democratic Party says that's not enough. It's calling for the billionaire businessman to put his assets in a blind trust.

NEW YORK (AP) — A&E is scrapping plans for an eight-part documentary series about the Ku Klux Klan after finding out that some participants were paid for their work on it. "Escaping the KKK" was to follow people trying to extract themselves from the hate group.

LONDON (AP) — Queen Elizabeth II will use her Christmas Day message to praise British Olympic and Paralympic athletes and others who inspired her. The pre-recorded message will be televised throughout Britain and much of the Commonwealth Sunday afternoon.

HONOLULU (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama became one of Santa's helpers as she fielded calls for the NORAD tracks Santa program. Mrs. Obama spoke with kids who wanted to know exactly how much progress Santa Claus was making on his annual journey.
