SALT LAKE CITY — Three crazy stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

1. Tanner Mangum's pinball touchdown

Look, this throw wasn't Tanner Mangum's best of the night. It easily could have been intercepted. But after bouncing around in the endzone a couple of times, Tanner Balderree brought it in for the catch.

Here's the sideline angle, from our own Jeremiah Jensen:

2. Grayson Allen suspended after third trip

Grayson Allen, an NCAA champion in 2015 and a second-team All-American last season, has been suspended indefinitely by Duke University after his second tripping incident of the season and third of his career. Here's last night's, which earned a technical foul:

Allen also threw a tantrum on the bench after being called for the foul.

Look, it's dirty play, though clearly Allen was trying to stop the player from driving once he was on the floor. If this was a first-time incident, a suspension wouldn't have been warranted, but given his past history, it made sense.

3. Passing to Santa

It's the Christmas season, and everything is decked out in red, especially in advertisements. But when Santa is running down the pitch, he's probably not one of your teammates.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
