MONTAFON, Austria (AP) — Spanish snowboarders Regino Hernandez and Lucas Eguibar won the World Cup cross team event Sunday, while France triumphed in the women's competition.

In the final, Hernandez and Eguibar defeated former overall champion Omar Visintin and Emanuel Perathoner of Italy, while Alex Deibold and Nick Baumgartner of the United States placed third.

Austria's Markus Schairer, who teamed up with Alessandro Haemmerle, was in second place until he lost balance after the final jump and fell shortly before the finish.

Nelly Moenne Loccoz, the 2015 World Cup cross champion, and Chloe Trespeuch won the women's final ahead of Italy's Raffaella Brutto and Michela Moioli.

France 2, with Manon Petit and Charlotte Bankes, came in third, while the United States with Rosina Mancari and four-time world champion Lindsey Jacobellis finished fourth.
