LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Bryan Sekunda tied his career best with five 3-pointers on nine attempts and Stony Brook beat St. Francis (PA) 75-63 on Saturday.

Sekunda and Lucas Woodhouse scored 17 apiece and the Seawolves made 12 of 28 3-pointers and opened with a 10-5 run. Woodhouse scored 14 points in the first half and Stony Brook never trailed in building a 40-34 halftime lead.

St. Francis closed to 49-44 in the second half on a 7-0 run capped by Jamaal King's jumper, but Sekunda scored eight straight and the Seawolves led 62-52 on Junior Saintel's dunk with 8:45 left. The Red Flash closed to 66-58 on a 6-0 run, but Saintel dunked for a third time to spark a 7-0 run with 1:01 left.

Saintel scored a career-high 15 points for Stony Brook (4-7). Woodhouse added nine rebounds and nine assists, both season highs.

King scored 16 and Keith Braxton grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds for the Red Flash (3-6), who have lost four straight.
