WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Jordan Fox scored 20 points to pace hot-shooting Army past Air Force 79-71 Wednesday night in a clash of service academies.
Army (6-4) shot 51 percent from the field, making 25 of 49 shots, including 12 of 26 3-pointers. The sophomore Fox notched his second 20-point game in as many weeks, shooting 7 for 12 and dishing out four assists. Freshman Thomas Funk scored a career-best 13 points and Jacob Kessler, another sophomore, added 12 on four 3-pointers.
Zach Kocur led Air Force (5-4) with a season-best 22 points, including draining five 3-pointers. Jacob Van scored 13 while Hayden Graham and Lavelle Scottie added 10 each.
The Falcons shot 38.5 percent from the floor (25 of 65) and made 9 of 23 3-pointers.
Army built a 36-13 lead, didn't score for the final 4:22 of the first half and still led 36-21 at the break.
