NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed 70 cents to $2.15 a bale higher Friday.

The average for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton advanced 10 cents to 70.06 cents per pound Friday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
