CHICAGO (AP) — Trayvon Palmer scored 34 points and pulled down 15 rebounds and Chicago State ran away from East-West University 103-75 on Tuesday night.

Palmer hit 16 of his 20 field goal attempts overall. Fred Sims Jr. totaled 21 points and six boards and Clemmye Owens V added 15 points for the Cougars (2-2), who have now played their final home game of 2016. Chicago State begins a month long road trip Nov. 30 that does not see the Cougars return home until Jan. 5 against Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Devonte Smith led East-West with 22 points. Carl Moore added 14 for the Phantoms.

Chicago State trailed through much of the first half, but four Sims Jr. free throws in the final minute gave the Cougars a 41-34 lead. An Owens V jumper early in the second pushed it to double digits and the Cougars pulled away from there.
