CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A final state report released on foul-smelling well water in Wyoming contradicts an EPA report from five years ago that ignited a national backlash when it suggested hydraulic fracturing was the cause of the contamination. Officials with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality said bacteria were more likely to blame for the problem in Pavillion than the oil and gas drilling process known as fracking.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Republican men will dominate the 2017 Wyoming Legislature following Tuesday's election. The Wyoming Tribune-Eagle reports that upcoming legislature will look quite similar to the current body.
CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A Casper man has pleaded guilty to using three of his children to illegally obtain prescription medication for himself. Anthony Silveira was sentenced to three years in jail, with all but 60 days suspended, followed by three years of probation, after he pleaded guilty to six misdemeanor counts of prescription fraud and three misdemeanor counts of child endangerment.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead is undertaking a comprehensive effort to improve the state's economy. Mead announced the effort on Thursday, saying it's called the ENDOW Initiative.
