COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Polina Edmunds has withdrawn from the NHK Trophy in Japan because of a lingering foot injury.
U.S. Figure Skating announced the withdrawal on Tuesday. Edmunds also missed the Rostelecom Cup last weekend in Moscow while continuing to train and rehab.
The 2014 Olympian finished second at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in January. The 18-year-old withdrew in March from the world figure skating championships because of a bone bruise on her right foot.
The NHK Trophy runs from Nov. 25-27 in Sapporo, Japan, the last of six events that make up the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series.
