SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah police say they're investigating whether three juveniles in a stolen car intentionally hit an officer during a car chase. West Valley City Police Chief Lee Russo said Monday 25-year-old Officer Cody Brotherson had gotten out of his car when he was killed. He was apparently trying to lay down a set of spike strips designed to stop the car by puncturing its tires.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Tesla is taking the fight to sell its sleek electric cars in Utah to the state supreme court, saying it's exempt from a state law that bars car makers from owning dealerships. Attorneys for the company argued before Utah's Supreme Court on Monday that the state last year incorrectly denied Tesla a license to sell its cars in Utah.

PROVO, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a woman has died after being hit by a commuter train in Provo. The woman had been walking in an intersection when the FrontRunner train struck her Monday morning.
