THIS IS MICHAEL DE GROOTE, IN FOR LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

How alive is downtown? Just a few weeks ago, over 30,000 people came downtown for free concerts, several festivals, the Downtown Farmers’ Market, and other special events. Add the 18,000 people who came to the Outdoor Retailers show and you have almost 50,000 people who came downtown for events. This doesn’t take into account shoppers and ongoing attractions such as the Titanic Artifacts exhibit at ZCMI mall. The fact is there are always great events going on Downtown. Check out liveitupdowntown.com for a listing of downtown events. You will also find links to other event calendars at saltlakechamber.org.

The next Business After Hours networking event is this Thursday at Prime Hotel. Don’t miss the fun, food, prizes, … and your next big business contact. To register for Business After Hours, call the Chamber at 328-5050, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org
