NEW YORK (AP) — Lewis Bay, the prohibitive favorite, rolled to a 5 1/4 length win Saturday in the $200,000 Turnback The Alarm Handicap for fillies and mares at Belmont Park.
The 2-5 choice took charge immediately with Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard, and remained comfortably in command.
The 3-year-old trained by Chad Brown improved to 4 for 13, with three victories coming in stakes. The time was 1:42.09 for the 1 1/16 miles.
Lewis Bay paid $2.90, $2.50 and $2.10.
Flora Dora rallied from sixth to be the distant runner-up at 23-1. She returned $10 and $5.20.
Eskenformoney paid $3.30 to show.
