Sacramento belted five home runs for a second straight game, as the River Cats rolled to a 13-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night. That gives Sacramento a 2-1 lead in their best of five Pacific Conference Championship series. The game was tied 1-1 in the third when Sacramento took the lead on a run scoring single by Chris Denorfia and a two run homer by Carlos Gonzalez. The River Cats would add two in the fifth and break the game open with a four run seventh.
Salt Lake starter Shane Loux, who is on an injury rehab assignment from the Angels, took the loss. Loux allowed four runs on five hits in three innings with one strikeout and two home runs allowed. Bobby Wilson led the Bees with three hits, including a home run, and two runs batted in. Dee Brown and Adam Morrissey each added two hits and one run batted in, as the Bees need to win on Saturday night to force a fifth and deciding game on Sunday afternoon.
