Sacramento belted five home runs on Thursday night, as the River Cats beat the Salt Lake Bees 8-3 to even up their Pacific Conference Championship series at one win apiece. Brooks Conrad led the way with two roundtrippers; a solo shot in the second that gave Sacramento a 1-0 lead and a two run shot that capped off the River Cats' scoring in the eighth. Casey Rogowski, Chris Denorfia and Donnie Murphy also went deep, as the five home runs allowed is the most given up by Salt Lake pitching in a postseason game.

Anthony Ortega took the loss, as he allowed five runs on six hits in five innings with five strikeouts, no walks and four home runs allowed. The Bees scored all of their runs in the seventh inning on a two run double by Chris Walker and a run scoring single by Brad Coon, which pulled the Bees to within two at 5-3, but after Freddy Sandoval walked, Matt Brown was called out on strikes to end the inning. Walker, Coon and Pavkovich each had two hits to lead the Bees.
