OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A man is accused of leaving his 5-year-old daughter in the cold on an Ogden college campus.
Authorities on Friday released surveillance video from Ogden-Weber Tech College that appears to show the man abandoning his child.
Police say they showed up at a closed campus daycare facility just after 5 a.m. Oct. 9.
In the video, the father has the girl sit on the ground and hands her some blankets before leaving.
Police say a security guard found her more than two hours later.
Investigators say the girl is now with her mother.
Police and the Department of Child and Family Services are investigating. Staff at the school's two child care facilities did not recognize the man.
The man's name has not been released since he hasn't been arrested.
