BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Landon Donovan is earning $456,000 with the Los Angeles Galaxy in his return to Major League Soccer, down from $4.25 million two years ago in his final full season.

The 34-year-old forward retired after the 2014 season, then returned Sept. 11 after signing a contract through the end of the season. He scored Sept. 18 against Sporting Kansas City.

Donovan's salary was released in a late-season update issued Friday by the MLS Players Union.

American midfielder Alejandro Bedoya, who joined Philadelphia from Nantes, has a $1.1 million salary this year and guaranteed compensation of nearly $1.17 million.

Uruguayan midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro has a $1.37 million salary with Seattle and $1.74 million in total compensation.
