THIS IS LANE BEATTIE, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Tonight several local VIP's will act as some of the community judges at the Gingerbread House Festival at Thanksgiving point. This festival, which is run by my friends Eric and Deb Dowdle, features delightful gingerbread house creations, which are then auctioned off to raise money for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. The task tonight will be to see which of these homes are the finest examples of this traditional, and tasty art form. The event opens to the public this Friday and runs through the 29th. For more information, go to www.gingerbreadhousefoundation.com.

The Salt Lake Chamber is launching its new Chamber C-Card today. The Chamber C-Card is a discount program for Chamber members that makes it possible for businesses to afford healthcare, save significantly on the cost of office supplies, and much more. The C-Card also is an incredible vehicle for businesses to offer each other their best discounts in an interactive B2B environment. For more information on the Chamber’s new member discount program, call the Chamber at 328-5043, or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
