This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

As you drive through beautiful residential areas do you notice how rock and stone on home exteriors makes an attractive appearance? Or how big rocks in gardens and yards enhance the beauty of landscaping? I always notice stone work and admire the interiors of homes that have attractive fireplaces and mantels featuring rock, marble or granite.

Two Wasatch County companies play a major role in providing architecturally cut stone for homes and businesses not only in Utah but also throughout the country. Delta Stone Products leads the Western United States in stone cutting capabilities. Robert John Hicken recently took me on a tour of his facilities in Heber. My jaw dropped when we stopped in front of a saw with a blade that is 12-feet in diameter. With the ability to cut up to 60-inch depths in stone materials ranging from limestone to granite, this state-of-the-art saw is computer controlled and precision guided offering unsurpassed quality in the finished product. The saw is housed in a new, very large enclosed facility that is capable of managing 40-ton quarry blocks and allows for year-round work.

Robert showed me photographs of some of their projects. It is very obvious that Delta Stone Products provides architecturally cut stone with superior quality and craftsmanship.

For both commercial and residential projects, Delta Stone Products excels in providing quality cut stone. Their knowledge of the stone industry is the result of their ownership of a stone quarry, as well as the years of experience of their skilled masonry installation team. The quarry, Mountain Valley Stone, is located in Brown's Canyon and the 30 quarry employees provide rock and stone that is shipped all over the United States.

Robert John Hicken, his two brothers, Adam and Aaron, and partner, Paul Ballif provide wonderful products to those who value the beauty and durability of natural rock and stone in their structures by incorporating care and exactness in all workmanship.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
