SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — American Adam Rippon won the men's short program with a score of 87.86 at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic on Thursday night.
Teammate Jason Brown was second at 83.18, and Japan's Takahito Mura was third at 82.55.
Jessica Calalang and Zack Sidhu of the United States won the pairs short program with a 58.74. Canada's Brittany Jones and Joshua Reagan placed second at 55.64, and the United States' Alexandria Shaugnessy and James Morgan were third at 47.78.
The event continues Friday with the short dance, women's short program, and pairs and men's free skates.
