CLEVELAND (AP) — One of the preliminary bouts on the undercard for UFC 203 was canceled when fighter C.B. Dollaway was injured riding in a hotel elevator.

Dollaway was scheduled to make his light heavyweight debut on Saturday night against Francimar Barroso, but the 33-year-old sustained a back injury.

UFC issued a statement that said it Dollaway was hurt Friday night. There were no specifics provided about his injury. UFC also said it was in communication with hotel management "and the hotel is currently evaluating and investigating the issues surrounding the incident."

Dollaway, who is originally from Mount Gilead, Ohio, is best known for appearing on "The Ultimate Fighter" TV series.

With the Dollaway-Barroso bout dropped, there are nine fights on the 203 card, which features the debut of former WWE star CM Punk and heavyweight Stipe Miocic defending his heavyweight title in front of a sellout hometown crowd.
