THIS IS MICHAEL DE GROOTE FROM THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Cameron Construction has hired Marnie Dallof as Director of Marketing. Donald Adams is the new Economic Development Director at the Downtown Alliance. AdvancedMD Software, a supplier of software for small and medium-sized physician offices, has hired Mark Towner as its new President and CEO.

Yesterday, Rimrock Construction and the City of Cedar Hills broke ground for “Lexington Heights,” the beginning of a new commercial district in Cedar Hills.

Tracy Aviary begins its summer bird show season next week on Saturday, May 10th. Weekday shows will begin on Memorial Day.

The Chamber’s Business to Business Expo is where you can get your questions answered. And it opens tonight! The Expo kicks off at 5:00 pm and runs to 9:00 pm tonight. There will be the popular Prize Balloon Drop where thousands of inflated orbs drop from the ceiling containing coupons for give-aways that are then collected from each exhibitor’s booth. The evening’s festivities include an opening night reception free of charge to the business community where you can meet Olympian Jim Shea, Zions Bank spokesperson. It also features the beginning of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. And there will be hundreds of exhibitors, the food at Culinary Row, and much more. The Expo runs from tonight through Friday at the South end of the Salt Palace. For more information call 947-0526 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
