The Deseret News recently received several national honors. Jennifer Toomer-Cook won a first-place 2002 National Award for Education Reporting from the Education Writers of America. Brad Rock won the Professional Basketball Writers Association’s Dan S. Blumenthal Memorial Writing Award. The Associated Press Sports Editors organization named the paper’s “Olympic Souvenir” section among the top ten sections nationally for 2002.

The Market Street Broiler recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary in historic Fire Station Number 8. As part of the celebration, the Market Street Broiler invited every Salt Lake City firefighter to its restaurant for a complimentary meal of fish and chips on Saint Patrick’s Day. The New Yorker Club is set to celebrate its 25th Anniversary in April by offering a special 25 dollar Four Course Dinner prepared by Chef Will Pliler.

Ernst & Young is seeking nominations for the 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year awards. The deadline for nominations is today.

The Chamber’s Business to Business Expo is more than just the largest business event in Utah. It is a thriving marketplace where you can reach thousands of potential customers eager to do business with you. This year’s Expo features a special CEO night on Thursday, May 1st.
