ATLANTA (AP) — Matt Bryant appears set for his eighth season as Falcons kicker after Shayne Graham was cut.

After missing two preseason games with muscle tightness in his leg, Bryant returned to kick a 27-yard field goal and two extra points in Atlanta's 17-15 preseason win over Jacksonville on Thursday night.

The 41-year-old Bryant ranks second in team history behind Morten Andersen with 734 points.

Graham missed a 32-yard field goal Thursday night.

The Falcons also released offensive tackle Bryce Harris. The team waived nine players, including defensive end Malliciah Goodman, a fourth-round pick in 2013.

Atlanta also waived offensive linemen Laurence Gibson and Collin Rahrig, defensive end Nordly Capi, defensive tackle Cory Johnson, cornerback Devonte Johnson, safety Damian Parms, wide receiver Corey Washington and linebacker Matt Wells.

The team will make more cuts to set its 53-man roster on Saturday.
