SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!
1. Good sportsmanship between 12-year-old kids
You're probably familiar with FC Barcelona, the famous soccer side Lionel Messi plays on. Well, they run youth teams at every age as well, and unsurprisingly, they are good.
Omiya, a Japanese team, ran into Barcelona in a world tournament in Tokyo this weekend. They lost, and you could see the sheer sadness on their kids' faces. So the Barcelona kids showed great sportsmanship to console them after the loss.

Maybe nice guys really do finish first.
2. Gael Monfils breaks the U.S. Open's clock
Gael Monfils is probably my favorite tennis player. Why? Because he goes after every shot he can with occasionally reckless abandon. Here, he's running backwards as fast as he can to get a lob that he actually does get a racket on. In the process, he breaks the U.S. Open's clock.

It's cool how the clock didn't really break, just fell into somewhat operational blocks.

3\. Long-snapping trick shots ============================
Long-snappers are pretty impressive: without facing a target, they can hit it with pretty incredible accuracy from dozens of feet away.
This Columbia long-snapper is so accurate that he was able to convince someone to stand there with an apple on her head and have him knock it off. And he does it!
The human target here is the real champ.
