Cache Valley Electric announced new partnerships with Qwest Communications and Sprint Communications. With these new partnerships, Cache Valley Electric has created a new division called the Technology Services Division. Dan Poulton will manage the division. Bobbi Halverson will be Account Manager and Greg Lovato will be IT Systems Engineer. The Technology Services Division's primary responsibility will be managing orders for Telephone and Data Services.

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an Applicant Orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can receive loans of up to $10,000 dollars. The orientation is Wednesday, January 29th at 3:00 p.m. at 3595 South Main Street. To register call 269-8408.

Smart Money, the Wall Street Journal's magazine of personal business, rated Volunteers of America in the top five human service organizations. Worth, another personal finance magazine, also named Volunteers of America as one of the nation's best charities.

The Salt Lake Chamber and the community will honor Don Cash and Nick Rose of Questar as Giants In Our City on Tuesday, February 11th at the Little America Hotel. Craig Peterson, Acting Chamber President, says, “It is a very rare thing to be honored as A Giant In Our City. It is even more rare when two people’s accomplishments are so extraordinary and so intertwined that they merit a combined award as Giants in Our City.” Utah Power, Wells Fargo, and Zions have generously made the evening possible.
